Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower and uplift communities by advocating for mental health resources and fostering youth representation. We are dedicated to amplifying student voices, ensuring they have a significant role in decision-making processes, and creating a supportive environment that prioritizes positive mental wellbeing for all
Vision Statement
We envision a future where mental health is a fundamental aspect of community well-being, and every individual, especially the youth, has equitable representation in policy-making. Through collaborative efforts and innovative initiatives, we aspire to build a community that values and nurtures the mental health of its members, breaking down barriers to access and fostering a culture of inclusivity, resilience, and compassion
How We Work
We were able to collaborate with our district administration to improve the policy regarding mental health care. They now hold events to educate students and parents about mental health warning signs and resources; begin wellness check calls for students with extended absences; are working to hire more school social workers; and implemented a student advisory board on mental health. We also were crucial in the process of implementing the Hope Institute which is a facility that provides care for students with suicidal ideation within 48 hours. Our organization has made waves in improving the policy for students around the state and creating a space for students to create change.
